The Burns Society of the City of New York has made a £5000 grant to the Burns Museum in Alloway to endow the upkeep of this tall case clock.

The Longcase Clock which belonged to Burns youngest sister, Isabella Burns Begg.
This handsome late eighteenth century mahogany clock, formed part of the furnishings of Burns's last home in Dumfries

The new Burns Museum, now under construction next to the Burns Cottage and smallholding in Ayrshire, replaces the former museum, erected in 1900, and which had since fallen into disrepair, threatening the collection of over 5000 items connected to Burns.
