The Burn's Society of the City of New York was established in 1871 to commenrate, celebrate and preserve the memory and works of one of the worlds most famous poets and song writers.
 
The society provide literary awards to students who excel in the studies of Burn's.  In addition, the society is a major contributor to the restoration and upkeep of Burn's statue located at Literary Walk in Central Park.
